Celebrities, they're just like us!

You know what's crazy to me? The way celebrities are viewed and treated these days. Like don't get me wrong, I don't think celebrities have the right to beat the shit out of someone for no reason, but I do think people often forget THEY are HUMAN too. Now if I was famous, I would be screwed. I say the wrong things, I fall (like I tripped walking up to the stage on my graduation day wearing flats, imagine me accepting an Oscar or Grammy or VMA or something), I'm pretty hideous in the morning, and I have a temper. The paparazzi would probably be all over making me look like a crazy person. And the tabloids, man I view them like they are leeches. Miley Cyrus for example, now I am in no way, shape or form a Miley fan. I never have been and I probably never will be, but dear God she is HUMAN. I understand the things she does are a little extreme, but the reactions are what keep her famous. If no one spoke about the ridiculous things she is doing, do you think she would continue doing them? No, she wouldn't. She would find another way to get her fame and money. And I mean we all have that friend or been that person who went through a nasty break-up and went off the deep end correct? People forget she is human. Her heart is probably aching when her fiance and long-time boo Liam broke up with her and the fact that he rebounded so fast? Normal people would probably key his car, or talk ridiculous amounts of shit, but have you heard her say ANYTHING about Liam? I haven't... even in Wrecking Ball she is basically telling us how hard she had fallen for him and how he wrecked her. Anyone who has gone through a bad break-up should relate but instead, we treat her like she is some sort of creature. Yeah, it's all a little much Miley, but she probably has no other way to cope when she is in the spotlight. But honestly, the psychotic photographers who need to find REAL JOBS and the tabloids, aren't the only ones to blame. FANS ARE.
I've recently had a fascination with these "fandoms", ya know the "Directioners", "Smilers", "Beliebers", "Rushers", "Little Monsters". This is madness to me! Now I'm not THAT old (I'm only 21, not like 30 or 40 or anything) but let's go back to my day. I liked N*sync, BSB, B. Spears, and Christina like everyone else my age. We had no sort of name. We just liked who we liked. There was no "fandom war" between N*sync fans and BSB fans, we liked what we liked! And I hate how people these days feel like celebrities OWE them something. They don't owe you anything! You don't HAVE to support them, you choose to because you enjoy their talents. I've heard kids these days threaten to kill themselves over a celebrity not tweeting/ tweeting them. PLEASE STOP. If your life revolves around social media THAT MUCH, that in itself is an issue. My idols growing up didn't know I existed and I had no idea what went on in their life outside of MTV and concerts. That's the way it was. There was a line between personal and professional, but now there's no line. No wonder they all go off the deep end!!
The moral of the story: don't be crazy, don't hate someone for liking different music than you and most importantly don't forget celebrities are human too.
XOXO
